We Empower & Support Individuals with Disabilities and Autism.

ESI was started in 1973 by 10 parents who wanted a local resource that offered their children compassionate care and engaging meaningful activities. Today we still operate in that same paradigm.

AT ESI, formerly known as East Shore Industries, we enrich lives and empower the human spirit by nurturing confidence and independence, creating opportunity and purpose for all of our clients. Being located in Algoma, Wisconsin, and serving Kewaunee County, Door County and Brown County, ESI helps individuals with disabilities and autism live their best life, achieving greater independence both in everyday living and work readiness.

We develop unique service plans to meet each client’s desired goals. We then partner with them to actively pursue their goals through services provided in a combination of both facility-based and community-based formats. Our services target work readiness skills to expand our clients’ employment paths, as well as life skills offered through day service activities to help individuals become more independent in their homes.

All services are designed to meet you or the person you support where they are most comfortable and help them grow to be the most successful in the life they choose.

Community Involvement

ESI is proud to be part of our local community. We help our clients connect and build relationships to their community by providing opportunities to reach out, explore, volunteer and work in the part of the world we call home.

“Everyone is their own individual, that’s so important here, because you can’t have a canned program and expect everyone to fit in.” – ESI Client Parent
